9/12/04 – Notification of Penalties for Blatantly Cheating
Bakersfield Kart Club has one main goal for race days and that it to try and make each event as enjoyable as possible. Bakersfield Kart Club was formed to promote sportsmanship, fair play, fellowship, friendliness, positive interaction between individuals & families and to further the reputation of, and interest in, the sport of karting.
At our last board meeting (which is currently held on the third Tuesday of each month at Papa O’s Pizza on White Ln & Gosford) there was a huge concern with the amount of D.Q.’s in tech lately. BKC will not tolerate any form of cheating.
The BKC Board of Directors has decided to take the following action: If you receive a D.Q. in tech for blatantly cheating in any class you will be suspended for the next race as a warning. If you receive another D.Q. in tech for blatantly cheating you will be suspended for one complete year from that date. If you have already received a D.Q. in tech this season for blatantly cheating that was your warning.
We as a club enjoy the competitiveness; we just ask that there is no cheating. Thanks for your time and we hope that you enjoy the race.
